The firm's Freedom of Information and Privacy Law practice area is run by Allan A. Macdonald. Mr. Macdonald was the founding Chair of the Canadian Bar Association (B.C. Branch) Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Section, and the Treasurer and a Member of Board of Directors of the B.C. Freedom of Information of Privacy Association since 1995.
Since 1995, Mr. Macdonald has advised clients across the country on all manner of legal issues arising from provincial and federal Freedom of Information and Privacy regulation. He was extensively involved in the review and commentary regarding Bill C-6, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, that came into force January 1, 2001.
