William G. MacLeod...
William G. MacLeod has been the principal of MacLeod & Company since 1991. He was called to the Bar in British Columbia 1978. His practice has been concentrated in the areas of professional liability, civil litigation, insurance coverage and dispute resolution. He has developed particular expertise in defending professional malpractive claims against lawyers, real estate professionals, insurance brokers, and their insurers. He also has a wide background of experience in general insurance, business litigation, and wills and estates litigation.
Mr. MacLeod has had a career which includes a year as a law clerk in the British Columbia Court of Appeal, more than two years of service as a criminal prosecutor for the provincial government, four years of service as in-house counsel for a major |

liability insurer, and three years of experience as a claims manager for a major professional liability insurance program.
Since returning to private practice in 1988 Mr. MacLeod has concentrated his practice in the fields of business disputes, wills and estates, and real estate particularly as they affect professional liability.
Mr. MacLeod is a founding director of The Association of Vancouver Restorative Justice Programs Society, and has a keen interest in fostering alternative community based justice programs.
